About the Rug
Ann created this rug based on Joe Fafard’s design, using traditional rug hooking methods. It is made with reclaimed wool fabrics and mostly natural dyes. The textures in the rug have been fashioned to suggest the textures of the actual crops that comprise the crop picture, as viewed from the sky. The border contains the title MacLaren Against the Grain - The Fafard Field Project, IPM 1997 and the artists initials to complete this beautiful commemorative effort.
